Hello Square Community! Here are the latest release notes, which will be updated about every three weeks with software updates for Terminal.

What's new in SQUID 2.82:

  • [Bug Fixes] We made a number of other bug fixes and stability improvements to keep you running smoothly.

You can check which version of SQUID you have by going to Settings > General > About Terminal. If you don’t see this feature immediately, don’t worry. The update will be delivered to your device in the next few days. Thanks for selling with Square Terminal. Let us know if you have any questions or comments—we’d love to hear from you!

Is there a way to keep the settings on the terminal the same?  The issue we are having is that we have 3 terminals, and for some reason each one keeps going back to the individual sales setting  when we'd prefer all three keep track cumulatively.  We click "apply" when we change the setting, however it will go right back to the previous setting without saving the change.  This was not an issue before the update.

@derekGCB The "device only" setting was enabled as the default after a recent update. 😬

HOWEVER- we have an update that will be rolling out soon which will disable that default "device only" setting. I'm not 100% sure when that update will occur. So with that being said, if this is something that you'd like changed ASAP, we can do that! We do have a Beta Program we can put you in that will make it so the "device only" feature is disabled by default, and any changes you make to that setting will remain the same on whichever device you change it on.

Let me know if you'd like to be included in this Beta and we'll get you on board!

Alright @derekGCB! I can confirm that you've been added to the Terminal Beta. You should be on that Beta by tomorrow, and you'll see that default device setting stick to whatever setting you change it to moving forward. 👍
