Scams cashapp

Hey everyone just starting to sell online. Sold something via FB today and buyer paid CashApp sending me email and it states to send tracking number and only then my payment will clear. I see nothing in my account yet and am reluctant to send it. Asked buyer to delete and I will invoice another way and they don't want to. It sounds fishy to me. Anyone else have this happen? I'm having the same thing on PayPal too ironically

Hey Makeupbymirela,

 

Clearly someone is trying to scam you - that's not how things work.  Selling online is straight forward regardless of the payment method.   Someone makes a purchase and pays - once you get notified and receive the funds you ship.  As the seller, you set the terms, not the buyer.

Wait till you get customers that complain their coupon code does not work. Then they show you coupons from:

www.greenpromocode.com

www.prmdeal.com

www.hotdeals.com

www.couponxoo.com

www.promocodetime.com

www.groupon.com

https://usa.coupert.com/

or others.   

 Someone tried to use one of these "coupon codes" for $100 back on an $18.99 purchase and called us when the code did not work.   We have no online coupons except from our site for free shipping on over $75 orders.

You bring up an interesting point as to why can't Square make the checkout coupon optional - there's been an on going discussion about this as some people are OK with this option and others prefer to have the ability to disable it.  Personally, I would like to be able to disable or hide it but, that's just me.

Well my point above was that these are FAKE coupon sites that just try to get information from consumers,  As to the ability to not use a coupon/discount you can just not apply the discount, but I do agree with you because some employees may give a friend a discount that is no longer valid and would be great to hide or disable discounts when they should not be used.  I think Square does have the ability to input a owners code/pin to use a discount if you have Square for Retail (free) or (plus).  Currently we do not have any employees at our register just family.   Then again that is why I have 4k cameras pointed at the registers for when we do hire employees   🙂
