Just a heads up to those using retail - If you canโt see the new grid or wonder whatโs going on. Delete the app from your ipad and re install - on installing it will off you to set up a new grid - you can disable this if you donโt like it but this is for a limited timeโฆ Good luck.

We recently launched Visual Browse on Square for Retail, which will allow you to customise the layout of their catalogue and the checkout flow by organising items, actions, and functions that are most useful to you.
Please let me know if you had any issues with the new grid or features so that we can take a look into it with you.

Hi I have square register and it wonโt update to the new grid. Iโve checked it and it states my software is up to date. So I was asked to do a factory reset and start from the beginning. Did that one too but still have the same old interface. Any ideas, for anything I could try to get the new grid ? I seem to have exhausted all avenues.

Can you double-check if you see the following option on your Register:
From your home screen, tap โก More > Settings > Checkout.
Then, tap Upgrade to the new Retail Point of Sale to begin the upgrade.

Hi
no I do not see the option Upgrade to the new retail point of sale ๐ฅ. All I have is the regular, your software is up to date and then all the info about serial number, Mac address etc, when I go into that section of the register.
I have the square for retail the green coloured icon software running on my square register. I was advised by support to reset to factory setting but unfortunately that didn't do anything other than give me the same old look back that I originally had.
It has been forwarded to the engineers for investigation via square support.
But I was hoping someone on here may of had the same sort of issue so I thought id ask ๐

Hi @OTCF, as I thought, your Square Register is on a slightly older software version and that's why you don't have the new feature just yet.
The retail team have confirmed this software version will be available next week and then you will have access to the new Square for Retail features.

I think this is happening on the Square Register @Twiggy, I have checked in with the Retail team now so I'll let you know what they come back to me with as I have seen a couple of other reports about this on the Register, sometimes there can be a bit of the delay. Thanks for your patience @OTCF.
