We had two locations at the start of the year, our main location is a bar and we tried and failed to expand a second location into a restaurant. We are now left with a bloated database of items and modifiers that will never be used again. My question is if I remove all the food item and modifiers, will that affect past sales numbers? I stay on top of my reporting but for accounting purposes that could be problematic at year end if it did.

I went ahead and removed a few items and modifiers with no impact to past sales data. Hopefully this helps someone else along the way.
