Refund receipt

After processing a refund, does my customer receive an email confirmation that the refund is being processed?

Hey there @daydreamer 👋

 

If the customer requested a receipt for the original purchase then yes they would receive a refund confirmation email. However, if they opted not to get a receipt you would have to manually generate that refund receipt on the transaction itself.  

 

Here are the steps to send a receipt in case you need them: 

 

From the Square App

  1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap Transactions.

  2. Locate and tap the payment > New Receipt.

From Your Square Dashboard

  1. Visit Transactions.

  2. Use the date selector tool to locate a specific payment.

  3. Click on the payment > Send Receipt.

Is there any plans to have the system automatically print these refund receipts, just as they do a regular sale?  It can get a bit hectic

for staff to get back out of the sale screen and jump over to history to print the refund receipt for the customer as well as for the back office
