Problems with customer shutting off square terminal

We are trying to remain contactless during this COVID time, so we bought the square terminal for us to avoid handling their cards. When the customer goes to dip their card some  grab on the terminal in order to hold it while they dip their card. Anyone who grabs the terminal accidentally pushes  the off switch causing the terminal to shut down in the middle of a transaction.  Anyone have advice?

I haven't heard from any other sellers that buyers are accidentally shutting off the Square Terminal, but it's great feedback and good that you posted about it. We'll keep your post up so that other sellers can comment if they are also experiencing this, as well as provide any potential workarounds.
