Problems with Photos Syncing between Square Dashboard + Square Online

Several weeks back, I noticed that Square Dashboard was updated with the ability to add photos to items in the Item Library. I would consider this to be a great new feature, if not for the fact that photos in my Item Library have been totally messed up ever since!

 

Photos in our Weebly / Square Online store have disconnected from their associated items so when shoppers click on the drop down menu to find a color, the photo that should appear is no longer linked and therefore does not appear!

 

Most of the photos are still there. But they are no longer linked. 

 

It's not easy to re-link them either, because I cannot see the image name when I choose a photo to connect to an item's color, so unless it's a color I can easily recognize, I'm completely lost. Re-uploading photos for every single item seems to be the only workaround for now, but that is very time consuming...and in some cases I don't have easy access to older photos, or don't have them at all. 

 

Our business sells craft supplies in hundreds if colors, so having images connected is essential to the shopper's experience.

 

Also, is there a way for photos that have already been uploaded and linked to their associated item be synced with Square Dashboard? 

I noticed that when I create a new item, there is not a sync issue between Dashboard + Online, but when it comes to older items, that were created before the update, they do not automatically sync.

 

Has anyone else had this issue? Is Square aware of it and is there a fix that can be implemented?

HI, you mentioned Weebly, is your store Weebly or Square?  The older images not able to sync may be due to Weebly no longer a separate platform.  From various other postings here on the seller community it seems Square is no longer updating or maintaining "Weebly".  Of course, they were forced to grandfather the existing sites on the "Weebly" platform but now updates on Square are not able to sync with older platform "Weebly".

HI, thank you for trying to add the link.  I can not see something you are logged into.  Here is a partial view of the Square Dashboard.  You select Online to create and edit your site.
