Payment link and tips- can we customize

We have been using payment links to take party deposits, and it's been working great. EXCEPT with tipping. Unlike in the store, payment links are automatically adding a tip. This is no beuno and makes customers unhappy. Is there a way to change this that I'm missing?

So far the only solution I can find is to add a hidden online item and do a checkout link instead.

Can you post the link so I can take a closer look? How are the items fulfilled? Are they shipped or picked up? I believe there is a setting on the Square Online dashboard where you can edit this, but I want to confirm based on your link first.

Hi! I am also trying to confirm that when using a Payment Link we have no options of setting our own tipping %? Would like change minimum or default amount (seems lowest amount is automatically added to customers initial total) from 15% to maybe 5%….possible or are we stuck with the 15% minimum? Thanks!!!

Welcome to the Community, @WhiskySid - 

At the moment, you won't be able to customize the tipping for the payment link. Your customers will now automatically see tipping settings of 15%, 20%, and 25% on their payment link, with a default tip percentage of 15%. 

Note: Tipping is currently not available for links with subscriptions or recurring payments.
