Pay At The Table

I know toast and a few other POS systems can print a QR code for check out on their bill.  I was just wondering if square has anything like that coming down the pipe?

If you're talking about a QR code that would print on a ticket for future payment from in-person orders, I don't believe that is something that's being worked on (although I don't fully know what's coming down the pike)

However, Square's Online Store does have a Self-Service option available. You can enable it on the online dashboard

(Online Dashboard -> Fulfillment -> Self-Serve Ordering)

Here you'll set up your tables and sections, and you'll get a specific QR Code per table, You can use their QR code template to print out the codes or you can export the codes and build your own table card.

Your customers then scan the code at the table, use the online store to order and pay. On our side, your order tickets will say Table XX for the order name.

Bonus: Square has allowed Open Tabs on the self serve orders! Your customers can open a tab by entering their cc information and continue to add to the tab without re-entering their info.

We do not have a way to allow cash payments at this time, and I recommend you submit a Feature Request here for this. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
