I am curious why I need anything more than the little square plugin that I swipe?

If I do by the chip reader contactless square will I still be able to use my original small portable square?

Also what is the cost of the contact less square?

You can use your Magstripe Reader for any swiped payment. The benefit to using the Contactless & Chip Card reader is the added safety of being EMV compliant with your transactions.
