How is square figuring overtime

I can't figure out how square is figuring overtime. In one week, an employee had 30 hours of straight time and 28 hours of overtime. In Arizona, shouldn't it have been 40 hours of straight time and 18 hours of overtime?

Check your Timecard settings, sounds like your overtime is not set correctly.

I checked the overtime settings and they are set to:

For hours worked over

hours a week, employees will earn overtime.

It says:

Is anyone in Nevada having trouble with OT being calculated incorrectly?

1) In the Nevada a wage above 1.5x the minimum wage does not get daily OT only weekly, but Im still getting daily OT. This employee should receive OT only for hours over 40 in the week.

2) I had a new employee work a shift that is 9.5 hours and square had her down for 9.5 hours without OT. In Nevada any time over 8 hours in a 24 hour period is OT. the time of day is irrelevant, just because midnight starts a new day this doesn't exempt you from paying OT. If I were to start work at 3pm and work until 11pm and then return to work at 10am all of my time from 10am until 3pm is OT.

Thanks in advance for any help.
