yes, the iPhone X includes an adapter in the box for lightning to a headphone jack.
Update 2018: The new Square magstripe reader connects to your iPhone (so you don't need to use the adapter)!

My card reader plugs into audio jack on earlier iPhones. Now I have Xs with lightning and a put a dongle from audio to lightning connection and card reader doesn't connect. What do I do now?

Good news @BocaGator — we have a magstripe reader with Lightning connector that you can use with your new iPhone!
Alternatively you could consider purchasing theContactless and Chip Card reader — this reader pairs to your device wirelessly and you can accept chip cards and NFC payment types (Apple Pay, Google Pay) with it too!

Hey @BocaGator!
Yes, the Magstripe Reader will accept chip cards that also have a magstripe on them.
I hope that answers your question. Let me know if anything else comes up.
