How do I add sku to items that are already in the system?
I already have all of my items in square and we are wanting to switch over to using SKU barcodes . I have turned on the auto sku for items but every time I go back into inventory and click on a item the sku number isn't there. Please help

Hello @Michellef1 and thanks for your question. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the auto skus. I have not used the auto sku feature yet as all of my items are already barcoded (or I make specific ones), but there is a help page for this. You can see it here.

Hi @Michellef1,
If you have ever signed up for Square for Retail, you will have access to this feature. If you've only used Square Point of Sale, you will need to sign up for Square for Retail. Auto SKU is part of the Retail Free plan, so when your Free Trial expires, if you choose not to use Retail Plus, you will still be able to use this.
After signing up for Square for Retail, login to your account from a desktop computer. Once logged in, go to "Items" > "Settings" > "Inventory" you'll see a button that says "Generate missing SKUs" which will generate a SKU for all of your items. Make sure you have the Auto SKU setting set to "enabled"
