Email forwarding quit working through Comcast after latest update, Worked for 3 years.

Lost ability to forward emails to partner after latest update.  Mailer damon says there is a problem with the from domain. (square)

@jlclip interesting, if you're receiving emails in the inbox connected to your  Square account, then I would recomend checking with your email provider. We don't have any control after the email is delivered to you. 

 

If you're not receiving emails from us at all, there could be a different underlying issue on our end. If this is the case I recomend reaching out to our Support Team directly. They will be able to take a closer look at your account, than we can here. We want to protect your information so we can't discuss account specifics in the Seller Community.

So I can take a look at this, could you walk me through the process you use to forward emails? This will help me pinpoint where the issue could be!

Using filters on my Comcast emails. Automatically forward to his email with the same from address. Error messages say failed DMARC because neither dKIM or sPF aligned with the policy provided by the from domain.  After enough errors it just started saying there was no such email.

I switched to forwarding from a gmail address which he had to confirm to receive them.  Still strange we never had a problem for 3 years until the update on the 10th. The error appeared to be coming from AOL.

Greetings,

 

I use Gmail and have filters created to recognize the monthly, Square EOM Report.  They have functioned as expected for many, many months.  When the EOM Report email comes in, the filter just add a "Label" to the email to visually flag it.  The email itself still comes into my inbox.

 

Some important details:

 

  • Email subject is always:  "[MyBusinessesName] Your month in review: March 2021"
  • The email always comes from:  noreply@messaging.squareup.com
  • Usually arrives within the first 5 days of the new/next month.
  • I have checked Spam, Trash, Promotions, Social, and all the other various places that Gmail could misplace it.

 

 

My problem:

 

It's now the 14th day of the month and I'm still waiting for the April 2021 EOM Report.  This has happened before in March 2020 and in May 2020.  Square, do you know what's happening?

I'd recommend this email troubleshooting here, but if that doesn't work you'd need to reach out to our direct CS team to have a closer look taken or a ticket filed.

Following up here with more info.  I did contact Square Customer Support directly via phone.

 

This happened again in August 2021 (EOM report for July 2021).

 

  • I've followed all the steps for troubleshooting (checked notification settings in Square, checked spam, checked trash, etc.).
  • Supposedly, Square sent out the email on August 7, 2021.  I am 100% sure it never entered my GMail inbox.
  • For this month, as a workaround, I'll have to use Square > Reports to get my EOM numbers.
  • I'll keep on tracking when I don't receive this email.  So far, since December 2019, I didn't receive the EOM Email Report in March 2020, May 2020, April 2021, & August 2021.

The exact thing is happening to me!  I have not received the EOM Report for July 2021.  The sales summary report does not list the same sales info as the month end email ie: top selling category, top selling item etc.

Valuable sales tools that I look forward to reviewing ea month.

Can you create a report for this since we are not receiving the recap month end email?
