Customers reviews held hostage by Square?

I can’t find any true user friendly way to share this customer feedback with the public. Honestly I love Square for payment processing but I feel more and more forced into their marketing scheme.

 

We HAVE to be able to easily share the reviews you collect otherwise why are you asking? So frustrating and we are looking at other payment services that don’t tie our hands. Especially now with the increased need for online presence- we need to be able to engage new customers!

Hello @WildheartBoutiq !

 

Since the feedback section was launched, Square has kept these as internal conversations between you and your customer. I believe the reasoning is that you can fix problems before they end up on the public review websites.

 

Whenever I respond to feedback (especially the positive ones!), I always include this line at the bottom of my text:

 

"Thank you again for your feedback! This conversation is just between you and us. If you have time, we would appreciate a review on Facebook, Google, or Yelp as well."

 

It usually gets us a review or two.
