Considering POS Square - hate Intuit - is it worth changing

I have had Intuit software - the sales rep told a number of lies - in order to get it to work properly, I have to pay their $500 upgrade ransom.  Considering Square - a few questions - we have a high inventory count - will swell to approximately 5000 item SKUs in first year.  Also we want to have an e-store in addition to our brick and mortar.  Will Square support/facilitate these two situations?  Intuit will not - again, unless you continue to buy new stuff from them.

We do have the ability for you to add SKU numbers for your items and there isn't a limit to how many items you can add.

As for your e-store question, if you're looking for a simple and straightforward option, we have our Online Store which is completely free and can be set up directly from your Square Dashboard. If you'd like a site with more advanced options, we have several E-Commerce partners you can choose from, but these may come with an extra fee to set up.

I would love to have a sales team member contact me - any time!  we are ready to make the switch.  We have an HP Pavilion touch screen computer - will this integrate with your Chip Reader/Cash drawer/UPC scanner and receipt printer?  Also - is there an Alternate Look up field in your software for use with In-House bar coding?  Thanks so much!

Great! Just head to squareup.com/sales and you can put in a request for them to reach out to you (just a heads up, they're typically not available over the weekends).

Unfortunately, our hardware is only compatible with Apple/Android phones or tablet devices at this time. You can check our compatibility list to see which devices are guaranteed to work.

If you want to be able to create barcodes, you would actually have to look at our Square Retail system. It costs $60/month, but it does come with more features than the free Point of Sale system, such as advanced reporting and more inventory tools.
