Are there any golf courses using square?

Im looking into using square for my golf course & restaurant.  Is there anyone in the community like me?

Off the top of my head I don't know if we have any other golf courses on the Seller Community, but @EJ_

 and I spend quite a bit of time at the links on the weekends. We would be happy to help out with any questions you might have! ⛳️

When it comes to restaurants we have a lot of sellers that could help out. Do you have a full service restaurant at the course?

     Thanks for the reply.  Our restaurant is more of a small clubhouse dining.  We do offer table service and service at the bar.  Our menu consist of burgers, sandwiches and nightly specials.  

     Can Square be set-up like my present POS, where orders can be printed into the kitchen, charges for the night can be left open and then paid for at the end?  I'm hopeing that I could use the software on my golf side like selling any item.  Greens fee, Cart, Pro shop items could be individual items.

     Is there a manual/tutorial that can help me?  Thank you for your help.

Welcome to Square @gouvgolf! Helen here stepping in for Chad.

It sounds like Open Tickets is what you need for your bar — you can open a ticket for a table, print tickets to the kitchen, and close the ticket at the end of the night when yours diner are ready to pay. This Support Center article has the steps you'll need to use this feature:

• Use Open Tickets with Square

If you are planning to use Square in two different parts of your golf course you could set up two different locations. That way you can set up all of your food items in one 'location', and all of your golf items in another 'location'. You'll still manage your Square account using one email address, but when you sign in to the app you can choose which location to view. For example, the bar can use one location, the front desk/shop can use the other location. Check out:

I have a driving range not a golf course. Square works fantastic for me. The card reader they give you sort of sucks. I upgraded to the best one they offer, very fast reading chips.

Yes, check out Birrdi

They are the only online tee sheet that integrates with Square POS out of the box.

And due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are offering their integration with Square POS for free for the remainder of 2020. Check it out.

Yes this is possible! We have many courses doing just that.

I personally use Square for my Bar/Grill, Golf and nearly every aspect of my golf course. And I use Birrdi for my tee time reservations.

Is the whiskyrun.com completely designed with the square website? Or are you redirected to the square website when you click on certain tabs?

The entire site is done through Square Online. Are you switching over to Square or do you already use them?
