Am I able to purchase the square hardware kit minus the contactless reader?

The dock is nice as it holds the chip reader in place and makes it seem more like a piece of the stand rather than a random thing for someone to put their card into.

Personally, I'm not the largest fan of the dock design as it is primarily designed as an NFC payment device with the chip reader slot facing away from the customer rather than facing the customer.  It does work but is awkwardly designed with the power cord coming out below where the chip card would be inserted so I don't feel like I can just put it on the counter backward either.  I would say for us 99.9% of transactions would be swipe or dip not NFC.

The retaining bar in place shows a diagram of how a customer should insert the chip card. I think its fine and just instruct customers how to insert the chip and most get the hang of it instantanousely.
