Alpha: Help us test the new UI for Square Point of Sale

Hi Seller Community! 

Square Point of Sale is getting a facelift. We’ve redesigned the user interface, and need your feedback before we launch.

We've improved the checkout flow and app navigation in this update, so you’ll be able to access the tools and reports you need quickly. To get started with this Alpha, please join us in the Beta Community and see the steps to join below.

This beta is currently live for iOS and we plan on launching for Android in the coming weeks. Also, Open Tickets is not currently supported, but will be available early September. 

To join this alpha:

1. Reply to this thread and let us know if you are using an Android or iOS device.
2. Join our Beta Community so we can track your feedback provide updates as we go to beta.

Will there be updated UI available for Register POS?

This UI will only affect the Square Point of Sale application, not the Square Register POS.

Would love a new U/I for the square register.  Scrolling through 20 categories to get to an item is not user friendly. Especially when there are 12k items.

Is the square terminal eligible for this update? I saw a comment that this would not be available for the Square Register POS, is that what the terminal uses too?

This beta is not yet available for the Square Terminal, but we'll reach back out to you once we do begin testing for that device.
