My employees are split between two primary roles:
- Sales associates/schedulers
- Square access is required for these employees.
- Service providers
- Access to a notes file for each customer is all that is required for these employees.
To accomplish this separation, the Service providers store customer notes in a 3rd party contacts app.
The complication comes in linking the Square customer profile to the 3rd party contacts app (since we have multiple people with the same first and last name). One method we've found is to add a 4 digit identifier to each customer's last name in the customer profile in each app, and search that number in either app as needed. However, the 3rd party contacts app has the ability to produce a URL to open any individual contact from another app.
My question is:
- Is there a way to insert a clickable URL into the customer profile within Square Appointments?
- If so, we could simply add that URL to the customer profile and tap it to effortlessly open the customer in the 3rd party contacts app to allow the Sales associates/schedulers to add notes as needed.
