Hi everyone! Thanks so much for the invite, Adam. Looking forward to seeing all the exciting posts/topics in the group. I own a small food and beverage company in the Seattle area called Paunchy Elephant. We make bottled organic teas, lemonades, and barbecue sauce. Yep! You read that right... because our family is from the South and some of the best days involve family, friends, and a little sweet tea/lemonade while you wait for the grill master to do their thing. Nice to e-meet you all. ๐ Cheers!

Southern BBQ? What part of the south? We are always interested in different drinks that people canโt get in your local store.

Hi! Yes, our family is from the South (New Orleans). The sauce is closest to a Kansas-City style, sweet, ketchup-based barbecue sauce. The classic that we make is on the sweeter side and sticks really well to pretty much anything from meat to veggies. We also make a gluten-free version of the sauce and now a maple habanero that's less sweet but has a spicy kick to it.
Sure! Happy to share more info on the beverages with you too. What area are you in? I can even ship a few samples to you if you'd like. We love fun/unique flavor combinations like vanilla green tea. I doubt anyone at your local stores has green apple lemonade either. haha. But we do! Feel free to email me. I'm at tamyra@paunchyelephant.com.

Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. My husband and I own All About The โBooch, Maricopa Countyโs first permitted kombucha microbrewery. We are going on 3.5 years. We sell direct to consumers (home delivery, farmers markets, and events) and wholesale. Our next goal is opening a kombucha tap room. Ohโฆ and we both still work full time! ๐คฏ We have lots of help from our family.

Awesome! How exciting to plan a tap room! Kombucha is amazing and itโs super versatile at a bar as well - for cocktails/mocktails or a great N/A alternative. Just curious - have you ever considered making an alcoholic version? Not sure what the production regulations are in Arizona to make that happen, but I can tell you as a craft beer pub we are begging to get an alcoholic version on draft for our gluten free customers, or guests that just donโt drink beer. Thereโs a huge hole in the market in New York.

Hi! Itโs hard enough to stay under the ABV limit. Maybe weโll play with higher ABV kombucha later. But if we do it, we are going high. No 1-3% for us. ๐คช

Hello, and thanks for the invite. I love the idea of getting to know other small business owners in the food industry.
I own and operate an at-home bakery in the Oklahoma City area. I offer pies, cakes, cookies, cheesecake, brownies, etc. to my customers. As well as custom cakes for birthdays & weddings. ๐ฐ
We've been open for about 2 years now, and are seeing a lot more growth this year than expected. I still have a full time job as well, so the growth has been nice but also stressful. I'm super excited to be heading into the holiday season. It's always so fun to help people celebrate.

Hello, and thank you for the invite. Seasonal soft serve ice cream/froyo/sandwich/snack shop in Ohio (finished 10th season as the boss a few days ago). Looking forward to feedback from Square and enhancements based on our suggestions (please let us know via a push notice that a register is in offline mode; would make my life significantly less stressed). www.bgsfrostyfare.com

What do you bake? I own a pizza place in Alachua and we have a small refrigerated case where we keep desserts. Some we purchase, some we bake ourselves. Had considered expanding into more baked goods as we don't have a good bakery here in town, unless you count Publix, but I did say good. ๐ Would really love to offer bagels, but my only attempt at making bagels did not go well.
