Inventory Tracking for Multiple Flavor Chocolates

We are in the process of starting up a dessert shop and would like to be able to track our inventory at each individual bon bon or macaron flavor level mostly so that year after year we are able to see which flavors are the most popular.

I understand that is simple just add the new flavor as an item but is there a way to then take 6 or 12 or 24 of those individual items and create an assorted box so that its easy to find that item for check out but still track our inventory at that flavor level. Ideally, in the future we would have a dark chocolate lovers small box, and possibly a caramel lovers line, etc. I would go in to edit the items in these boxes as they change to keep our analytics accurate.

Additionally does square have the option of creating a box of say 12 chocolates then letting the customer fill it with whatever flavors they want?

I guess for an example see the following website: https://spataro.nl/categorie/bonbons/

Hey there @Edeske

From what I can read it seems that you may need to create the items as modifiers to allow your customers to pick and choose X amount of items that would go into your "boxed items". The only limitation is that as of right now Square doesn't have a way to track the inventory of modifiers.

I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers' interest in your request.

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
