Amend sales location

Hi, a useful feature for us would be the ability to move transactions from one location to another. Two reasons: (1) correcting user error where we start trading at a market location and forget to switch location on PoS. (2) ability to amend old transactions that were not pegged to any of our current locations.

Hi @okaycokey, thank you for flagging this feature request to us! 

 

We recently rolled out a function that allows our sellers to switch between locations within the Square Point of Sale app. To do so: 

 

  1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap More.
  2. Select Switch location.
  3. Choose the location you want to view.

If you are worried about forgetting to switch between locations before trading at a market, you could always set a reminder on your phone or device to switch locations a few minutes before the market. 

 

As for amending old transactions, this is quite a popular feature request. Unfortunately, this is not something that we will be able to facilitate. We cannot edit historical transactions for reporting purposes. So we recommend making sure you sign into the correct location prior to trading.
