I'm considering adding jewelry classes to my business when the studio is built this spring! I live in a very rural area in Canada, so this is a risk.

Starting 2-3 new businesses with 1-2 of them being niched, high-end versions of our current digital agency model.

VERY exciting!!! What do you think this risk would do for your business if it was successful?

I think the biggest thing is it would finally position us among certain industries that would allow us to start charging market rate for services - without compromising the fact that we're built on providing services to small-medium type clients. It would allow us to still service them under one brand without losing their business - but also allow us to greatly increase overall revenue by having specialised clientele.

Big Risk: Going back to College for Office Administration, then trying to travel afterward for Travel Photography, plus saving for a new Camera!

Be at ease.

One big risk I'd like to take is buying my own building so that I can take control over my space.  I know there is a lot involved in commercial property ownership, but I feel like I'm throwing away money every month by renting.

I want to buy my own building as well, but it will be a few more years for me.  I wish you much success.

Us too - our landlord has offered us the opportunity to buy the building in 2 years when our lease extension ends and I'm close to having the 20% down payment he wants saved up. We have just completed our renovations as well 🙂

That sounds like a great goal.

I own my building and there are pros and cons for sure compared to renting.

One of the best things about owning is being able to make all the decisions about the building itself.

Good luck to you!
