I have a mobile cigar service. I am thinking about hosting our own cigar nights monthly. It doesn’t sound like a risk in theory. However, spending the money for a venue can be the financial risk. On the positive side, I feel like that would help us in reaching a new set of customers.

We have a cigar club in our little town and a lot of people like it.  I bet once you get rolling with your mobile one and do some pop-ups, people will be excited to follow you to a permanent venue!

We're wanting to add formal wear to our store in 2025.  I really think this will help us grow in our new location.

I am embarking on using an advertising agency in a partnership with a cafe as a "case study" on how effective they can be backed up by real world data.  If it works, it will really test my systems and ability to scale a small restaurant.  The risk is in I get to test myself and my ability to hire and put the right people in place.

We are looking to purchase some new processing equipment, around $90K's worth. It will allow us to process around 250kg's per hour. It will open up some new product categories and speed up production of some current products enabling us to remain price competitive.

In 2025, We are modifying everything regarding team member roles and policies, processes, and procedures.

So many things changed this year that caused us to pause and recognize that many of the ways that we had been doing things early on, needed a huge revamp now that we have grown so much.  We are celebrating 10 years on January 1st in a few weeks.

This year pummeled us quite a bit with a lot of ups and downs and many moments of realizing that it was time to revamp our policies and our processes documents and become more refined in all of the ways that we establish our team member duties (and our team itself)

The risk is that there's going to be further ups and downs for a while as we are streamlining our team, creating potential havoc with the team while we're making these big changes, and some of the team maybe resistant to certain changes.  And some members of the team may not be there for much longer depending on a variety of factors.

When things start to change we all know how it impacts a team even if the changes are for the better, people get very comfortable in the way of that they have been doing things.

We began to make many changes at the beginning of September and have an almost final set of clearly defined plans for what we want to achieve into 2025, and who we want to be, and how we want our daily operations to function.

Trusting an assistant with management tasks.

My to-do list is ridiculously long and there is no way I'll ever get it done... certainly not at this pace.  I'm a bit scared to trust someone with managing my schedule, choosing priorities, arranging meetings, doing research for me, and whatever-else-that-entails, but I've found someone amazing and am optimistic that this coming year will be more productive (and profitable!) than ever before.

Wish me luck!

Good luck!

I'm busy all the time and my to do list is impossible and I always think I wish I had a personal assistant.

That sounds amazing and it sounds awesome that you found a good one!

Maybe that should be my goal for 2025 to find a good personal assistant.

Then the trick would be for me to be able to back off and let somebody else handle it without worrying all the time! 🤔

This isn't really a big risk, since we have been testing it. We are adding a grandparents line. A lot of people that sell children's clothing also sells matching Mom clothes. No one is doing grandparents clothes, like i said we have been doing small tests and it has been a hit so we will see what happens in 2025. The biggest hurdle is getting it added to all our fair contracts

I've been unstable about moving forward in my own dreams for many reasons for several years.  I still don't know if any of them will come to fruition in 2025 but I'm still looking at them.  We're still in a transition period that could last several years.  I really don't know if it's feasible for me to pursue any of them at this juncture and doing even just one would definitely be a big risk.  However, I'm at the point that I know that I either need to $h!t or get off the pot.  I can't continue to just think about these things for years to come.  I've aged a lot since these dreams began in my mind and the older I get, the less they can become a reality because my physical mobility is a necessity to have them.  So I guess my goal is to really have some sort of plan in place to discuss with my husband by year's end to begin moving forward in January.

CareyJo, I can so relate to this. I'm 61 and have autoimmune issues. The best advise I've received is that you're the youngest you'll ever be today. And - pick one small thing you can do today to get you closer to your dreams and do it. Small things lead to big changes. Best wishes with your dreams!

Mind you we’re younger business owners we have so much respect for those who go for it no matter what!

Can’t wait to see you move towards one of these dreams in the new year if it works out 🙂

One big "risk" I’m considering taking in 2025 with SakredJoi Art is pursuing a licensing deal with a major greeting card company, like Papyrus. While it’s an ambitious leap, I believe my vibrant, soulful creations have the potential to reach a wider audience and make an even greater impact. Plus, I’d love to expand the Paper Art Studio at the local art center to teach more classes on different ways to use paper in art. It’s an exciting step toward sharing my passion and creativity with even more people, and I’m ready to embrace the challenge!

I love it!!!  As a frequent Hallmark shopper... I'm obsessed with cards!  I used to make a lot of my own and gave it up a long time ago because I got too busy.  I really want to learn quilling!  I hope you get that partnership!  I've bought many Papyrus cards!!
