I will send you an e-mail!
Completely agree - it's a huge need for our store as well, and we are having to use third party non-native ads to do this.

Hi @Shambhala! Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately I don’t believe there are currently plans to launch Text Message Marketing internationally but I have passed along this request to our Marketing team to help them prioritize.
I'm curious as to why there are no plans, considering that loyalty points are texted to customers when they make a purchase - sending out marketing texts is not much different.

First of all, a little tutorial on how to set this up, and if it would (or could one day) apply to what I need it for.
I run a boutique fitness studio and I send out a $20 credit to students for referrals. Could this be done through the loyalty program? Currently, I just send out a gift card, which was recommended for “vouchers” when I was looking up if this could work?
Additionally, perhaps sending something out just on their birthdays? Maybe this is already in the system, but to be honest, I have no idea how the loyalty programs work.
In gratitude.

Hi @DominiqueG,
Thanks for joining today! In order 🙂
- Check out this Getting Started guide for an overview of how Square Loyalty works + a step-by-step walkthrough of setting up your program. This FAQ page has some good Q&A in it as well.
- Unfortunately, at this time we don’t offer the ability to trade points (or credits/gift cards) for customer referrals, but it’s something we’ve heard before and are keeping in mind for the future.
- For birthdays, subscribing to Square Marketing would allow you to set up automated email and text messaging campaigns with a birthday voucher attached. Check out this support center article for more information on using automated campaigns.

This is more of a 'how to' question but we get this all the time and would be great to know how to resolve: if a loyalty member accidentally makes a typo when entering their phone number in order to collect loyalty points for their purchase, there is no correction or back button to tap and they end up losing their loyalty points on the purchase. Either an option to correct a typo, or an option for the employee to manually apply reward points to a customer account would be greatly appreciated. If this already exists, how to do? Thanks!
Hey @Jenavive –
You absolutely can manually add or remove points to a customer account! You can do this through your POS or through the web dashboard, in the Customers tab. Here’s a link to the support center article and guide for the full step by step process. It’s quick and easy, and our customers loved that we were able to edit things like this.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey @LukeNieuw –
That’s so great to hear that Loyalty has helped your business! It really helped ours too and make things so easy to give back to our consistent customers and encourage more of them to keep coming back!
Luckily this session is all text-based, so you can follow along in real time or just hop in afterward and read up.

I sell a custom product/service, that is covered by extended health insurance. My product has a customary charge level and most clients get full coverage annually. I'm not allowed to throw in complimentary or accessory products as its deemed unethical.
Any suggestions on how i could implement a loyalty program to help grow my business?

- Design your loyalty program as a "product".
- Ask the client, do you want to be a loyalty member?
- Charge a penny.
- Crete your loyalty system database.

Hi @mtgmxxpress, thanks for joining the Q&A. Unfortunately, I’m not an expert on the healthcare industry or the specific regulations you need to comply with, so I can’t provide specific guidance around these restrictions. However, if you’re just looking to exempt a certain product / service from your loyalty program, you can set up item exemption from your Loyalty Settings in your Square Dashboard. You can read more about how to set that up in this Support Center article. Hope this helps.

Hello Square team. I'd love to set up a loyalty reward program for my customers here in Canada, where customers can redeem points for a gift card or for future services with us. Looking for more details and price plan options.
