My catalog is updating and publishing, but stock quantities are not connected to facebook.

My Meta catalog is set up and has been working for a while. This week, I updated it to use checkout on facebook (as per meta's new shop rules) and since then, i've been having an issue with stock quantities. Everything in my catalog is showing as no stock. In my square channel listings, it gives me this error:

  • These fields have missing information: Make items easier to discover by providing google_product_category information.
  • These fields have missing information: Make items easier to discover by providing quantity_to_sell_on_facebook information.

Is there a way to map the quantity_to_sell_on_facebook to my stock numbers in my square inventory? I know i could manually edit within facebook, but it's too time consuming to edit whenever there are stock changes. Square doesn't seem to have this field, and so Meta is just considering all products to have no stock.

Hello @designedbyatara  and welcome to the Seller Community

At this time, and as a result of Meta's changes, the Meta integration may need some updates on both Meta and Square sides to make things work as intended. In the meantime, I recommend reaching out to our support team for them to share with you the best way to accomplish this task.

You can give us a call at 855-700-6000 between 6 am - 6 pm Pacific Time Monday-Friday. If you call outside of these hours, you will be required to enter your Customer Code to validate your account.

You can also get in touch with our Messaging and Email Support Teams here.

I am also getting the same error as @designedbyatara . I followed @JJ_ 's advice and called the support team. After a bit of bouncing around, I had the issue escalated, and the upshot is that Square thinks it's META's intake of the API. So there wasn't really a solution offered via the support team.

I think we'll have to continue to troubleshoot it on our own.

Same issue and I've tried so many times to make it work. I FINALLY found a way to do a chat with FB support (it was NOT easy to find) to tell them it deleted all my items once I switched to FB checkout for having no inventory. It was no help either and they just told me they would "escalate it to the specialist team". I'm super irritated about it right now since it's not even giving me the option to change my checkout method back to my website. So I'm stuck with a FB Shop that has zero items and no way to get to my website from it. 😠 Which means I now can't even tag products on posts.
