How to use Square API as a backend for your own ecommerce site?

My company and I need to build a custom themed ecommerce portal for our users and vendors. Has anyone here tried doing that using Square's developer API?

While I don't have API experience- I'd recommend checking out our Developer Site to see what options you have and take a look at our walkthroughs on there if you haven't already.

We do have lots of sellers who use their own API with us so hopefully one of them sees this and can answer directly for you!
