Square Team App Classism

The Square Team Plus and App offer no way for employees that do not have a mobile device with iOS 12 or higher to be able to clock in/out or take breaks.

This is upsetting to me that I have to tell my staff member that this is the case, and that he can't even sign-in through the computer we have because the app is only for mobile devices, and will have to report the times to me, until I can upgrade one of our POS iPads (which also are older and incompatible).

I hope you can resolve this issue quickly.

@RCBR Do you use the point of sale app on the iPad for your cash register? 

I have set up a device code for the point of sale app on our tablets which includes a much older android tablet.  My employees use the old android tablet that is hanging on the wall by the back door to clock in and out using their 4 digit pin that is set up.  It works great for what we do.  I would suggest exploring the point of sale app and set up a device code under the online dashboard.  Then you will log into the point of sale app using the device code and then you will have to log into the point of sale app using your pin and turn on time tracking in the settings menu.  Try this out and see if it eliminates you having to do entry.

We have discovered that, if you have the Square POS app already installed, it will update, and you can use it to clock in/out and take breaks; however, it cannot be downloaded on any device with an iOS lower than iOS12, so while we have a solution for the time being, it seems a bit temporary.
