I can't use my bank account because it is linked to an old business of mine

I set up an account for my food cart and it wont let me use the bank information because the account is already linked to a business I previously had but it does not exist any longer. How do I switch my bank account information from an older account to a new account

Sometimes the system will not accept the changes you're trying to do - when this happens, you need to contact Customer Support for assistance.  They have the ability to look at what's going on and hopefully help resolve your issue.  The Volunteer Community Members here are business owners who have hands on experience with Square's Apps and Hardware but, we cannot access user Accounts.  We often don't have all the details necessary to help resolve account type issues so going through Square's Support should be your next option.

Welcome to the Square sellers forum, as I see this is your first post.

My idea would be to contact your Bank and put Your Name or the New Business name on the account since your old business is closed.  They might be able to use the same account number or explain that you need a new account and set one up for you with proper documentation.  Squre will not let you setup a way to accept money to a business that is out of business.  Especially with all the rampent Fraud in this world online, think how many phone calls you get or have gotten to extend your cars warrenty.
