An invoice shows paid but not showing in my balance.

I sent a customer am invoice and they paid it with their card and it shows on the invoice that it was paid. Bit it's not showing in my balance or account. Why? How long will it take for me to actually receive the money?

The money should show up within maybe 15 minutes tops.  Has this shown in your balance yet?

If your balance still isn't; showing up, you should get in touch with square support so that they can look into your account to see what is going on with your funds.

I'm happy to help but will need some more detail in order to better understand your question. Are you not able to see funds from a specific payment in your Balance or are you not able to see the total in your Balance?

Have you tried to contact Square support to see if they can look into this issue on your account?  Maybe its on hold for some reason for security reasons?  I would start there if you haven't received your funds yet after a paid invoice.

I am having the same issue. Customer has paid with two separate cards and it’s doing the same thing. Doesn’t show up in my balance.

Just to confirm, were any refunds made during these payments? Or have you received any emails regarding an issue with your account?

If you have processed a card payment via Square Invoices and you cannot see these funds available in your Square balance, I would suggest logging into your online Square Dashboard to see whether our Account Services team has sent you an information request.

Occasionally, Square accounts are subject to review where additional information about your business or a specific payment may be requested. These reviews take 1 - 2 business days to complete once you have submitted the information.

Another thing to consider is the payment method assigned to the invoice. It's worth double-checking you selected a credit card as the payment method and not another tender method in error (such as check or cash). 

 

Outside of these recommendations, we suggest touching base with our Support Team who will be able to take a look at your Square account with you in greater detail. If you'd like to speak with our Support Team by phone, you can give us a call at 1-855-700-6000 between 6 am - 6 pm Pacific Time Monday - Friday. I am having this issue right now. I have already chatted and called Square and they say they have to look into it.  I have been using their invoicing system for over 5 years. This is the 1st time this has happened? Has yours been resolved and if so, how?

All we did was wait till the next morning. We canceled the first transaction and did it over again. That’s how we did ours.
