Wow y'all - construction. Not for the faint of heart. I am just catching up here and feel as though I am without a tether to a world outside of this process. I now understand why folks hire project managers. No desk, no office, chaos and dirt all around and emergent 'issues' daily. We are about halfway through the process and about to feel the effects of Helene so I'm hoping for the best. Stay safe and dry everyone!
Hope everyone is well - I'll be back soon to see what everyone else has been up to.
I had no idea the process would be moving this fast and that I really did have to move every single thing in 1/2 of our building - and no worries when a sledge hammer shattered the only working toilet in a room not being demoed. Laughing through crying. Missed y'all.
A judge granted my name change as well - trying to get that all straightened out with a new ID before voting.
Sounds like a lot! You are doing a ton and please send us progress pics! Always great hearing from you!! ๐

That is a lot and I feel your pain. We work from home and my husband decided to gut our kitchen and do a remodel. He believed he could do it in only 2 weeks. He believed he could only work on it at night after working all day and getting it done. He believed he could do it for under 3k. After 3 months I reminded him that I had to make Christmas dinner. I never even got to decorate for the holidays that year because the ENTIRE house was consumed with rubbish, cabinetry, flooring, tools and dust. Oh the dust. EVERYWHERE. He was 90% done the first week of December and had the appliances installed. That was 2 years ago. The remaining 10% is still not done.
Give yourself grace. One day at a time.
