I would like to see a price override option.  This option will allow you to change the price of any item temporally "for this sale only" on the fly like at the POS counter on the register.  

 

IE. Customer comes to your location, selects an item they wish to buy and requests a lower price due to damage to item or other reasons...  (would need manager approval) you would touch the price of the item and change it. then a box would popup for reasons IE  Damage,late delivery, price was advertised at a lower price, price match at other stores etc... or Other "type in reason."

 

I dont think this is much to ask and would benefit everyone using the system

Custom client profiles. Where we can put in notes about the client that shows up when we click their name and not just in a certain appointment.

2 things. The scanner shouldn't beep if the barcode it scans isn't in the system. It should make a negative noise or not make a noise at all.

2nd: When creating items, I wish it wouldn't let the employee finish or leave that screen until a category is selected. It destroys my reports when my employees forget to add a category!

I would love to see employee cards. For Managers, Staff, Ownership, etc. so that we don't have to type in codes all the time and have people, who shouldn't have certain functions like servers, doing manager functions just because they know the easy to memorize four digit code.

I would like a feature on the Square for Restaurants platform to have the ability to pre-authorize a credit card on an open tab, and keep it open until the customer decides to close out their tab.  This would be very helpful in our bar/restaurant to prevent walk-out/no pays.  We migrated over from Breadcrumb POS and this feature is greatly missed!

 

I also want a feature to have a "Master Checkout" report at the end of the night that summarizes all of the individual servers/bartenders shift reports, as opposed to having to close out drawers.  This was also a feature in Breadcrumb that is greatly missed.

It would be nice to have higher ATM limits. I pay some of my vendors cash or money orders and have to transfer my balance to my bank to use the atm.  It would be easier to log into my dashboard and see and raise my atm limit.

I have a wishlist... 

I would like to make preorder or hold items, thus keeping the item in inventory, but a held item would not be available for online sale. 

Batch updating channels would be nice. Barcode lookup for loyalty customers, like a membership card.

That's just a beginning!

Another thought... As a Squareup user, I would really LOVE to have the options that Weebly has. Right now Weebly has more template options and more ability to customize than Squareup. I choose Squareup because it would link with my inventory whereas starting my site with Weebly that wasn't an option. It seems that the two should sync options and accessablity since they are owned by the same company.

I switched from Square up to Wix becasue it has a much better over all platform and much more of a professional look. I am able to link my inventory and sales with SKUIQ.. It takes a little savyness to do so but all is good . Take a look @ catskingdom.online . Visually it is a much nicer platform than squares unfortunally... Cathy

I would love to see a bit more customizability to the calendar... such as Google's calendar where you can color code certain appointments according to services or just able to individually color appointments. For instance... I have in-home clients and in-office clients.. I would love the ability to color code my in-home a separate color so I know with a quick glance who is who.

Maybe Im late to the game and this already exists, or I just haven't had enough time to research it, but it would be nice to be able to print our drink tickets on small labels to affix to our cups for our drink orders.  Id want the printer behind the register on the counter near the cups, affix them, and stage them.  Then our food orders if on the same order go directly to our KDS, and receipts only be digital from that point on.  How's everyone in the coffee/cafe world doing this?

Back to purchase orders, in addition to showing when items were received if you get multiple shipments on an order, the purchase order form needs work.  It needs to have fields for requested ship date, cancel date, sales rep, and a field for terms that can be customized.  The notes section isn't adequate, and doesn't copy over to the version that is emailed unless you copy/paste.
