I would like to see a price override option. This option will allow you to change the price of any item temporally "for this sale only" on the fly like at the POS counter on the register.
IE. Customer comes to your location, selects an item they wish to buy and requests a lower price due to damage to item or other reasons... (would need manager approval) you would touch the price of the item and change it. then a box would popup for reasons IE Damage,late delivery, price was advertised at a lower price, price match at other stores etc... or Other "type in reason."
I dont think this is much to ask and would benefit everyone using the system

Custom client profiles. Where we can put in notes about the client that shows up when we click their name and not just in a certain appointment.

Set up a line under under the tax area, label it, and apply it to the items and be sure it is toggled "on" so it gets picked up. On my cash sales, I always open the items in the cart and turn it off on each item. Not streamlined for sure, but I couldn't find another solution. May not be allowed in all states, so you may want to check on that.

They recently added a Service Charge feature that you can add. it can be a set amount or a percentage. It is called out separately as a service charge, not a tax.
Just check first if it is legal in your state as it is illegal in some states.

The ability to put in future orders.this can be done online so i dont understand why its so hard to make it so we can do it in person.
Also cash paid outs should be totaled in a report. Whats the point of entering a paid out from the till from the grocery store if i cant tell how much was spent at the grocery store at the end of the month

Cross platform functionality paired with full access.
I would love for Square to remove the paywall for extra features like categorial reports with "PLUS". Transaction fees, monthly fees, employee fees, and now to fully utilize the product we have to pay more. It would be great if for the thousands of dollars we pay we could fully use the data. It seems short sighted to me. If we could access the data more fully we could increase our sales and therein increase transactions -- meaning Square still gets paid more, but we make more too.

You took away a feature I am not sure I work events without. On my phone or pad, I could load the sales report. While it continues to list the "top items" that have been sold, it PREVIOUSLY had a toggle to show "all items". If you have to confirm an inventory count, sales, cash in hand at an event before hitting the road, this was an IMPERATIVE feature. The TOGGLE to "all items" is no longer there. It went missing in the past two weeks.

How about the ability, the very simple ability for us to move and organize the modifiers how we want and not have to deal with numbering and lettering them at the beginning of each item to make them go where we want (and that still fails). I've seen posts about it for years and every time supposedly you guys submit it to somebody but nothing ever gets done. What a simple thing yet so helpful for all the restaurants !

I will follow the common theme here square register needs to have the same functionality as an iPad. The restaurants edition needs to have decimal ordering. A really big thing that needs implemented across this platform is the ability to attach inventory to a modifier. Countless opportunities missed when customers order one thing but get a different product because that inventory item is out of stock.

FOR GOD'S SAKE WILL YOU PLEASE FIX THE SHIPPING OPTIONS? It is absolute chaos and results in under and overcharging (or none at all if they don't select the option). This is what is making us reconsider using Square. The Weebly interface is terrible.

This is a bit more geared towards me, but I'd like to see Square integrate a ticketing system for service individuals. I use Repairshopr for my break-fix shop. I know that's a tall order, but to have what is basically the KDS system but for the service industry would make my day.
- Create a ticket with the customer's device(s)
- Add customer's info (which gets added to my customer directory)
- See all my currently running tickets on a Trello like display or one like KDS
- The ability to add part orders to a ticket with variable prices and also our cost to get cost/profit data
- The ability to create an invoice with the ticket charges and push those to an invoice or point of sales.
Square has a beautiful UI and I am a big UI/UX nerd. So this would be so epic to me.
This brings me to another feature I feel like Square NEEDS. The ability to ring up an invoice on the point of sales. Sometimes I create an invoice expecting the customer to pay from their device instead of coming into my store, but sometimes they rather come into my store. I'd like to be able to bring up an invoice on my point of sale device and ring it up. Once paid it settles the invoice.

Which version of Square are you running? We have retail for our repair shop and have the option to ring up invoices at the point of sale.
