I think this is a much needed piece of the puzzle for managing order streams.  It is important as a restaurateur to be able to keep the ecosystem to a minimum.  This is why square is so great for me, I don't want to deal with 20 different login credentials and 5 different tablets.

The question I have is how does ItsaCheckmate do with passing a menu back to the provider, especially one like GloriaFood (which I think has an excellent system for setting up online ordering, I just wish they could work out with square to be a payment provider for them instead of stripe and paypal)?

If the vendor offers more customization in their online menu, how is that handled?  and do you pass back changes from the provider to the square catalog or is it only one way?

Hi @Donnie-M, my name is Jared Garcia and I'm the Director of Channel Partnerships at ItsaCheckmate. Thanks for your message! If you're looking to get rid of those tablets and save time/money, ItsaCheckmate is the perfect solution to use with Square. 

And great questions, answers are below.

Question. "How does ItsaCheckmate do with passing a menu back to the provider?"

Answer. We are experts at this with most integrated platforms, but some Ordering Platforms don't allow for this functionality.

Question. "If the vendor offers more customization in their online menu, how is that handled?"

Answer. Once Integrated, if the Ordering Platform supports Menu-API, all menu building and customization is handled in the ItsaCheckmate Menu Management Portal regardless of features offered by the Ordering Platform.

Question. "Do you pass back changes from the provider to the Square catalog or is it only one way?"

Answer. Our integration is technically two-way. For example, if you use the Square + ItsaCheckmate integration and enable Stock Notices, and utilizes the Square Stock Count feature, then when an order is placed for the last available unit of an item, the stock count in Square will read "0" and will trigger an auto-86 (aka item unavailable) that is pushed out to all Menu-API Supported platforms removing that item from the menu - because it is now out of stock and cannot be sold.
