Apply: American Express and Main Street America Launch Next Cycle of Grant Program
Hello again small business owners,
I'm excited to let you know that the next grant opportunity is up and running with American Express and Main Street America! Applications for the next cycle of the grant program are open now with a focus on small business owners who identify as Native or Indigenous, Hispanic or Latinx, LGBTQ+ or as immigrants, refugees or forcibly displaced.
In 2021, American Express and Main Street America launched a grant program called ‘Inclusive Backing’, which will award more than 300 grants of $5,000 each to small business owners. Funds can be used towards critical business needs, such as physical and digital improvements, new equipment, technology, and training to help support their financial recovery and growth.
The application period is open now and will close on June 30, 2022, at 11:59pm CT. Small business owners who identify with the communities for this round's focus can apply by clicking the blue button below:

Again this limits applicants. At least in my area, its a lot easier to get a store location in a strip mall area than in the few downtown spaces that are habitable. The entire business district of the township e are in, is 95% strip malls. Not including stores in strip mall locations makes it really difficult.
"Main street" businesses aren't just the ones in the older buildings anymore.
