Some common issues include finding qualified candidates, ensuring they align with our business values, providing continuous training and development, maintaining motivation and morale, and managing turnover. I'd love to hear how others are navigating these challenges and any innovative solutions you've found. Let's discuss and learn from each other!
This is a great question, @Stacelyn24!
Tagging a few folks here who might have some good insight to share too @ThtGrl, @WildsideNails, @alexskincare, @hskincare, and @AnnaBYLY
Great question - I am not always in the salon anymore, so getting the assistant manager involved gives her buy-in to the new hires and boosts morale. We post on social media and email with our qualifications and do pretty well with applications. For morale, we buy starbucks weekly, help staff clean during busy shifts, and accommodate all time off requests. Also, they are assigned projects to work on during down time and are custom to what they are great at and enjoy doing (social media, email, communications, etc).
