It's lovely looking stuff, best of luck with it
Hi everybody.
I canโt believe that I have only just stumbled across this group.
My name is Kate and iโm 43yr and located in South Australia. Iโve been attempting to be a successful business owner since December 2021. I use โattempting โ very loosely as itโs taken me this long to discover this group so you can only image how difficult I find navigating a website let alone easily understand how to create one that is successful.
I continue to remain optimistic. I believe that one day I will wake up and have found that โ puff the magic dragonโ has spread some magic sparkle over my business and itโs all set up and and I magically find orders awaiting to be created hahaha ( iโm a glass half full type of girl). In my successful fairytale Im sure Puff sprinkles some magic in the form of embedding me with a large returning customer base and knowledge on all things e-commerce to keep it that way. ha
Ok, on a more serious note , my business is Kreative K8s Custom Makes. I am a Handmade Macrame and Crochet Product small business! I offer a collection of handcrafted macrame and crochet products for your home decor and personal accessories needs.
My range of macrame products includes wall hangings, plant hangers, Nursery Room decor, and more. I also offer crochet products such as beanies, scarves, shawls, and blankets.
As a small business, I like to welcome creativity and individuality, and therefore I offer custom orders also that cater to a customers unique taste and preferences.
My products make perfect gifts for your loved ones or for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, baby showers or housewarming parties.
I am passionate about my craft and I take pride in all work and providing the best service I can.
I commenced this crazy journey in December 2021 after a medical illness wreaked havoc and I found myself unable to work my normal 8-6 office job. I have always been a creative person so in that down time i taught myself how to crochet. Establishing a new craft during Covid and lockdowns was always a risk, and looking back now iโm pretty sure diving in head first without a customer base, nor a sale against a product was probably a bit erratic of me and I realise the planning and steps that I should have done first, which would have made for a far better experience. Hindsight is great. So here I am 18mths in trying to go back and recreate what should have been done to start with.
I have lots to do in this space and whilst itโs been tough iโm a determined woman and likes a challenge! So have a look at my site and please critique away, I can only grow both personally and financially by feedback and suggestions ๐
Lastly, on a personal note, have a daughter 14yrs, Sadly my husband passed away In 2018 from the dreaded โCโ at 39yr. Again I have always tried to be positive and look towards the future despite some very difficult, and heartbreaking times. Iโm sure there are many who have had similar life experiences so i try not to dwell.
well thanks for reading my novel
reach out and chat any time iโm of course on socials too under the same name
enjoy your day and happy thriving and growing to you all ๐โค๏ธ

Hello everyone. I am Andreea, based in North Carolina, USA and I own Worganix. I make artisan soap mostly with natural ingredients (there are some soaps made with fragrance oils as I have customers who prefer those), and recently I added candles and hair bows to the website. As a maker, I find it hard to create just one type of products so I am trying to gear the business towards gift shopping, a place where you can find gifts for everyone on your list or for yourself. I also added a blog page on the website where readers can find information about handmade products.
Please visit my website and let me know what you think of it!
Looks like there are many people from NC. Me too! Brevard - WNC

My name is Brandon
I own and operate a small blacksmith shop in Raleigh, NC called Reaver Forge. I primarily focus on architectural and decorative ironwork. Railings, gates, latches and locks, hinges, cabinet hardware, kitchen implements, decorations and signs, etc. This is both a full time business as well as therapy for me. I love what I do, and I do what I love!
Hello, @ElisabethB ! Thank you for starting this group. My name is Travis Butterworth. I own a small business called Renaissance Leather. We manufacture artisanal quality leather goods. Over the 30 years of the history of the business, we have grown to the point where we employ 5 full time artisans and 3 sales people. I officially bought out my business in January, becoming the sole owner. I included a couple photos so you can get a better sense for what we do.
Travis - your work is absolutely gorgeous
Thank you!

Im very civil, Respectful, Responsible and Kind is just one of the words you will hear people say about me. I am Multitalented and would like to offer my services if it can help some of you reach your ultimate goals. Thank you all in advance , and I wish you all push your dreams to the limit.
Hey everyone. I'm new to the group. I just started a crochet business and put up my site. I've found the most challenging part is marketing and getting customers. Any tips are appreciated.

First, I love the four dogs wearing the scarves. Your work is beautiful. It does take a while to establish your online presence. Do you sell at festivals or anyplace else? If so, I would create a card, flyer, paper, etc. pass them out. I enclose one with every order that is not through square. All mine says is Shop Online @op Taylors.com. We also have 3 brick and mortar stores where online info is given to every customer. Hope any of this helps. If your friends have email with different contacts, ask them to email Friends can be a great assets most friends will help. Email friends first, explain, if they are willing to send to their friends. Have them say this is a really good friend trying to get her online established. Give her shop a look. Her items are amazing. (Something of that nature)
It can't hurt and will probably get some site traffic
