Help! I’m struggling with Email Marketing setup and flow

Hello! I’m having a lot of trouble with setting up my email marketing. I just upgraded to the Promote plan, but when I check my account subscription, it says I haven’t started it yet. But I’ve already created 5 campaigns. The only time I could get access is on email confirmation that says “your campaign is ready”. Beyond confused. 

Since upgrading, I’m unable to add my existing customers that haven’t received any emails from me yet. How would I add my customers to the proper segment/ mailing list? Can this be helped or do the new email opt-ins get the automation going forward? 
 
Before upgrading to the Promote plan, I increased my monthly emails to 5  (instead of 2 free), will I be charged twice? 


I am just a hot mess with this set up. I’m truly not grasping. Please advise. Thank you!
