Hi ,
With the increasing need for first-party data and server-side tracking to ensure accurate conversion tracking, many businesses are now relying on Google Tag Manager (GTM) for tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Facebook Pixel, and Google Ads tracking. As advertisers move toward these solutions for better performance and data privacy compliance, does Square Online have plans to offer more seamless integration with GTM, particularly for server-side tracking?
For example, Google’s documentation on eCommerce tracking using GTM provides guidance on setting up detailed tracking, such as selecting items from a list and tracking purchases. It would be fantastic to see Square Online simplify such implementations: GA4 eCommerce tracking with GTM.
Suggestion:
I recommend that Square Online enhance its support for Google Tag Manager, especially for server-side tracking and detailed eCommerce tracking, as outlined in Google’s official documentation linked above. This would allow users to track conversions with better accuracy, maintain privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and improve ad performance. Adding these features would greatly benefit advertisers and businesses using Square Online for their eCommerce needs.

Hello @Ali-USA 👋
We appreciate your feedback!
Unfortunately, our team is not equipped to provide support with custom code added to websites (whether it is for tracking or other purposes), so we encourage our Sellers to consult SEO experts or reach back to the company who provided them the code added to a site if something isn't working as expected.
Square Online does offer the possibility to track data by adding custom code to sites, and many of our Sellers use tracking tools from Google successfully, but this is not an integration between Google and Square that can be managed on our end.
If there is a specific function you would like to see implemented, our Ideate boards are the best place to share a detailed description of what you need and how it would benefit your business. We monitor those boards and our team works on implementing the most popular requests.
Thank you!
