Products on a very old FREE account

I have several Weebly sites and am an admin on a few more.  One of these is on the free plan and she has had it forever.  Its basically a page to collect payments for an event.  Whilst products and ecommerce is no longer included in the free plan (a very limited version), it used to be, and people with old sites got to keep what they had already set up.  It all worked fine about two weeks ago, but now when you click on 'buy now' it comes up saying this site isnt connected for taking payments.  Ive checked and Stripe is all connected still.

Ive checked my own accounts that are on paid plans and there is no issue.

Has Weebly now stopped supporting products/ecommerce on Free sites?  Ive not seen any kind of email about this? Or could it be something I can fix?

Hi @Liz554 As far as I know, as long as the billing stays active we honor grandfathered plans. What is the name of the site? I can check with support to make sure we haven't changed anything, but 99% of the time, if we do make some sort of change like this we update via email.

Thanks for replying.  Its a free account so there is no billing. 

The account is https://stellastreasures.weebly.com/store/p5/Tickets_for_Our_Events.html.  This a screen cap of what happens when you try to buy.

Any ideas what we can do to fix it?

Ok, thanks for clarifying. It looks like our team is investigating to see if this is a deliberate change or if it's a bug by a recent update.

I don't see any updates at this time, but I'll check again. In the meantime you should be able to connect Square for free. Square and Stripe charge the same processing fee and Square also transfers the money faster than Stripe so it may work out better for you.

Thanks for this. It's currently connected to Stripe.  There is no option to connect to square in the settings on this account.  What do you suggest?

Did you not see Square after disconnecting Stripe? It won't show until you disconnect.

I hadnt disconnected Stripe!  Ive done that and added Square and its all working now!
