Product Options, not affecting the quantity

Hi!

I sell lithographic prints, which comes in a limited editions, so it's important that I can track the inventory. I also offer framing the prints, but when I add the option "Framing" with "Yes" or "No" alternatives to the prints, they come with a new inventory. Is it possible to add options, which is not a text input, that doesn't affect the inventory?

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to specify inventory for the product as a whole if you have separate SKUs for a product - as you've seen you'd have to enter separate inventory quantities for each SKU that is generated. 

Hmm... We do have a text input option you could use. If that's the only option you need to add you can set the inventory for it to one and call it something like, "Do you want this framed?".

Yes, you could use a text input, but you'll not be able to charge for it.
