Limited number of product options on Starter Plan?

Hi there. I created my first product page for my online store and added product design options. I've added 5 design options so far (using the drop-down list function) but when I try to add more designs and product options, I am brought to a page requiring me to upgrade from my current Starter Plan.  Why is this so?

As far as I know, the Starter Plan allows up to 10 products  - and I've only posted 1 product so far. I also read in a Help Center article that the number of SKUs per product  can be up to 120 – and I’ve placed only 5 SKUs (i.e. 5 designs) under that 1 product so far.

Hope you can help. Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion, @pandesol. I don't think it's specifically listed on our plan comparisons, but Starter and Pro are limited in the number of SKUs a particular product can have. You can actually have an unlimited number of SKUs for a single product with Business and Performance, however the maximum number you can generate with Product options is 120 (you'd have to add the rest manually).

Can you explain the exact number of SKUs for the starter and pro plan?

That can help customer to choose the plan. Is it all 5? Is there difference between Starter and Pro's plan?

Thanks!

Hello shirleyxsun!

The number of product variants (SKUs) you can have varies depending on the plan. Usually, you'd be looking at about 5 variants per product for the lower plan. The SKU amount has the limit removed at the same time as the product limit is removed, however, so anything on a Business plan or above can have as many variants as can fit.

Thanks this was very helpful. For future refernece I think you guys should put this in the plan comparisons, its not something everyone is too concerened about but it makes all the difference for people who sell single products with huge variations, especially since they arent unlimited for the first 2 packages.
