I am adding ecommerce to my previously existing website. I accidentally hit publish on the site WAY before the store was ready. So now I have a shopping cart in my menu bar with no products or storefront and I can't find how to delete or unpublish just the store until it's ready. Help!!!

To remove the store from a site built using the classic Weebly drag and drop editor, do the following:
- On your account dashboard, go to Settings > Checkout, and disconnect from any payment providers.
- While on that page, click on the Advanced settings button and toggle your Checkout mode option to Buy now.
- Open your site in the website editor, then remove any Products or Categories elements from pages of your site. You can also delete any pages that are store pages.
For the Square Online editor, do the following:
- Go to Settings > Checkout on your dashboard, then toggle off the Accept online orders option. If you don't see that toggle, then disconnect from any payment providers you've connected to.
- While on that page, click on the Advanced settings button and toggle your Checkout mode option to Buy now.
- Open your site in the website editor, remove any featured categories or featured items sections from the pages of your site.
- Click on the pages dropdown on the top left, then click on the Edit link for your navigation menu at the bottom. Remove any navigation items that are linked to store pages.
One final step for any site built with either editor: go to Items > Item Library on your dashboard, then use the checkboxes and Bulk edit button to mark all items as unavailable. Note that you can use buttons on the bottom left to display more items per page so it goes faster for you.
After following all those steps, republish your site and you're all set!

I'm having trouble with this as well. I played around with adding a store and then tried to delete it but the cart is still in my navigation. www.historicredrooster.com

Hi @jwright In order to remove the cart you will need to edit the store checkout functions. Do you happen to have our Weebly app on Apple or Android? It's a lot easier to edit this information from the app.

I'm jumping on this train as well (it seems like someone at Weebly should really make it much easier to delete a store page--this is all very silly). I have looked at all the advice on this thread, but I can't see where to switch payment mode to Buy Now in my store setup. I have disconnected payment method, I have deleted items from the store. I looked in Store > Setup > General, but I don't see any sections that deal with payment type. Please help. We don't want a store anymore. www.visiondrivenconsulting.com

Hello, can you please help me?
I have the same problem.
I setup a store with weebly, didn't love it, so I added one trough Ecwid, and deleted all products and items, and disconnected payment methods from Weebly, but I still can't erase the cart from the navigation bar. So basically I have 2 carts, one that is always in 0, the one from Weebly, and the one from Ecwid.
Can you please help me? I've tried everything and it doesn't allow me to change the payment type, nor any other option to remove the cart from the navigation bar.

Thanks for posting, @mgamendoza. Go to the settings for your store, and then General > Advanced and change your store mode to "buy now" - that should remove the cart from your navigation.

You are in the editor and not the store dashboard, @mgamendoza You will need to click on the Store tab at the top of the screen first. Although, your account is a bit unique. You will not be able to change the option unless you first setup a payment processor with Stripe OR download the Weebly app for Android or Apple. If you download the app, you will see the option under the store settings tab without having to setup Stripe first.

I can not seem to find the apple app to download, nor can I find Store tab so i am still having dificulty trying to remove the payment cart. Any ideas please?

Hi Adam,
Thanks for your prompt response. I am however, still having difficulty because I don't have a store set up, (I did not upgrade) but I do still have a 'cart(0) tab on my published page and no obvious way to remove it from within Weebly edit mode.
Initially I created a link to a product page which led to creating a product (a book) and even if the link is removed the shopping cart page still remains. I want to get rid of it so I can install Stripe so I can take payments without the need of a shopping cart i.e to sell books (if possible).
Any further suggestions please?

I beleive I have slected 'Digital' when experiementing with the shoping cart. Not sure if that helps when advising me how to remove the cart feature & tab.

Can you try publishing your site again, @PaulG1? I changed your store mode to "buy now" which should remove the cart from your navigation, but with your older theme you might need to publish again.

Is there an updated response to this question for Square users? I need to make our online store temporarily not visible to the public because we have shut down due to the virus. I do not want to delete items, etc. because then I would have to rebuld everything when we re-open.
