Filtered Product Search - where is it?

The marketing info about Weebly's e-comm features at https://www.weebly.com/uk/features/ecommerce-website includes the following:

Powerful Filtered Product Search

Give shoppers a faster way to find exactly what they want. Highlight the most relevant products and let your customers filter the results by attributes like price, color, etc. Filtered product search helps you maximize exposure across all of your inventory and create more buying opportunities.

I'm not exactly clear on how this works but I would like my customers to be able to do a filtered search to narrow down within a category. For example, I'd like them to be able to search within one category for a particular size and layout.

However, I can't find this feature. I wondered if it was to do with 'Add Options' but each of my products is unique so I don't have any product-specific options to add.

Hi @ckirkmarketing If you access the Shop All page in the editor you will see a dropdown to change the order the items are displayed. Smiley Happy

I also queried where this element was some months back and was told that as I am using an older version of the editor, I don't have it.

I'm really sorry for the confusion, @tnoskoguy The other poster is using the new editor. The option for a search as you've described is not available in the older editor at this time.

This is NOT the filtering we need.

ADMINs - can we get an ETA on when this feature could go into Alpha or Beta?  This is a base feature of ecommerce platforms and is a simple read on data already put into the product description.

Need filters for:

- Brand

- Price

- Product Type

- Color

- etc.

Thank you.

I spoke with customer service with this very same question.  Here's what I learned:

1.  Create a new page

2.  Add your products/categories to the page

3.  Add a "search" bar to the top of your page

Now, in order to use the filtered search, your customer has to enter a search word and click search in the box.  This will then pop up the filtered search feature (showing products that match the search, then has the filters on the side).  You can follow the steps above, hit publish on your website, then go to your published site, then enter a search term in your searchbox, and THEN you will see the filtered search appear.

I put in a new request for Weebly to consider just letting us make this filtered search an actual page, not just something that only works when a customer uses your search bar.  It seems odd to me that they can only access this (really cool) ecommerce feature by using the search bar.  I would like to be able to connect this to my products...like a "shop all" page that has all of my products listed and the filtered search on the side.  I really like this feature, but it seems like a "hidden" thing that could be more widely applied to the ecommerce platform.

You can like my suggestion to do this and maybe they will consider the change: https://community.weebly.com/t5/Vote-on-Features/Make-quot-Powerful-Filtered-Product-Search-quot-it-...

This is not 'a powerful filter' capability.

Some of those options should already be there on the Shop All page, @AceGoet. Price, alphabetical, popularity, and newest will all be options.
