Good morning, everyone. I built my band's website using Weebly and it really has come along nicely. I like all the tools Weebly provides, especially to someone who has no knowledge of how to build a website like myself. I have gotten many compliments about our website about how good it looks and how easy it is to get around.
That said, I am having an issue that I cannot figure out. In both the edit mode in Weebly and on the published site, when you are on a page other than the Home page, the page fades when you click or scroll. This is problematic as there are pictures and videos that I would like to stay looking vibrant when a guest is visiting the page.
I have looked under settings to see if there is something I missed, but I have exhausted all my ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? What is the problem and what is the fix?
Thank you in advance for your help.

It sounds like you're experiencing a fading effect on your Weebly site, which can be caused by a few different factors. Here are some common reasons for this issue and potential solutions:
Possible Causes and Fixes
Theme Settings:
- Some Weebly themes come with built-in effects that may cause a fading or dimming effect when scrolling or clicking. Check your theme settings to see if there’s an option to disable any scroll or fade effects.
Background Settings:
- If you have a background image or video that’s set to scroll or fade, it may affect the visibility of foreground elements like pictures and videos. Ensure that your background settings are configured to display consistently.
Custom Code:
- If you've added any custom CSS or JavaScript to your site, it might be interfering with the display. Look for any scripts that might affect opacity or transitions on scroll and remove or adjust them as needed.
Browser Extensions:
- Sometimes, browser extensions can affect how a website appears. Test your site in an incognito window or another browser to see if the fading effect persists.
Check Elements Layering:
- Ensure that images and videos are layered correctly. If an overlay (like a transparent div) is unintentionally placed over your content, it can cause a fading effect. Inspect your elements using the browser's developer tools to identify any problematic overlays.
Weebly Support or Community:
- If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to Weebly support or checking their community forums. Other users may have experienced similar issues and could provide insights.
Steps to Troubleshoot
Change Theme Temporarily: Try switching to a different theme temporarily to see if the problem persists. If the issue goes away, it may be related to the original rope theme you were using.
Review Custom Code: If you have added any custom CSS or JavaScript, comment it out and see if the problem resolves itself.
Test on Different Devices: Check the site on various devices (mobile and desktop) to see if the fading effect occurs everywhere or just on certain platforms.
Inspect Elements: Right-click on the page and select "Inspect" (or "Inspect Element") to view the developer tools. Check the styles applied to the fading elements for any unexpected CSS rules.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify the cause of the fading effect and find a suitable solution. If you need further assistance, feel free to share more details about your settings or any customizations you've made!
Best of luck with your band's website!

Your webpage fading during scroll on Weebly might be caused by a theme or design effect. It could be a built-in feature of the theme you're using. To fix this, try switching themes or look for settings related to "scroll effects" or "transitions" in the theme customization options like stick war. If that doesn't work, you may need to edit the CSS or contact Weebly support for assistance.
