I'm a photographer with multiple pages of portfolio images. While analytics will report on which pages visitors go to so I at least know what category of work they're looking at, it won't report on which images they go from thumbnails to large image view. It would be nice to know specifically which images are attracting more attention. Anyone know of a way to get more detailed stats so I know which images could go and which types of images to perhaps add more of. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with a service that would do this, but I'm sure there's something out there. Are you using the Weebly insights tool, or a third party analytic service like Google?

Is the Insights tool the basic stats I see when I look at the control panel? Yes, I'm also using Google Analytics and because the individual images don't have pages.

The only thing I can think of is to link the image to an external url and the have the larger image on its own page. I can think of a variety of reasons why this would not be ideal, but maybe another user has a suggestion for you.

Just for yucks I may try this with new page of something like an assortment of recent shoot images.

That might be a good idea. What are you trying to track exactly? Are you looking for what people are most interested in?
Oh! I wonder if a heat map tool would be helpful? I just found an old blog post we made that talks about it.

Exactly, I want to track which images attract the most interest, add more of those and remove at least some that aren't viewed as often. Never used a heat map, I'll take a look at the blog post.
