Meet Your Weebly Community: FrancisRevilla
Hi, friends.
Let me first wish you a happy Friday! Thanks for joining us in our current edition of Meet Your Weebly Community. This week, I'm excited to say that we're profiling the youngest Weebly user I've known - and man, does he know a lot for a 14 year old!
I'm sure you've checked out the amazing tutorial post and helpful responses from @FrancisRevilla - they're thoughtful, insightful, and extremely thorough. Here's a post he made last week: [Weebly Tip] How to create a full width map section for your contact page
Without further delay, here's Francis:
1. Tell us a bit about yourself (personal, professional, whatever you'd like to share).
Hi my name is Francis Revilla and I am 14yrs old, I love social studies and any forms of martial arts, and I started to create websites since I was 10 yrs old (around 4 years ago). My passion in web development and design all started due to my interest in creating a gaming website, which is actually one of the reasons why my curiosity to learn more about the web and how the internet works started and continues. By the way, at first I used platforms or tools such as Notepad, MS Publisher, WYSIWYG Web Builder (that is actually the name of the software), MS Front Page, and Webs to design and create my first website, and then a few months later I wasn't satisfied anymore with the lack features it offers (except for Webs, which I continue to use until I found Weebly) and the price that you have to pay. So from there, I decided to search and find more powerful web editors that I can use to create the perfect website that I wanted for free, and then I found Wix, Enjin, Yolasite, WordPress (.com and .org) & Weebly which I found in 2013.
Anyways, all of those powerful platforms that I mentioned above are really great, but the problem with some of the platforms that I mentioned above are lacking powerful features (except for Weebly), the interface is messy and starting to get obsolete, the themes are outdated, and you have to pay a lot of things just to have your website running online and protected from DDOS attacks or maybe SQL Injections. However, I started to offer design services to in-order to help business owners to have a clean, modern, responsive and a custom website design in a very affordable price, and I also decided to offer these services, so that I could save money for the future. I was also inspired to start being a freelance web designer when I found out about Zach Weisenthal, another teenage web designer (you can visit his website on http://zachswebdesigns.com/).
2. Describe your personal/professional relationship with Weebly. How long have you been using Weebly? How did you get started?
Well, Weebly really is a powerful website builder, and for me it is one of the best content management system that you could ever use to create a powerful modern website. However, I've been using Weebly since 2013, I found it on the bottom of a gaming a website, and at first I wasn't able to adapt on it. Since I was used to using the Webs interface and the second to third time I use it, I was able to adapt with its interface, thanks to some Weebly videos and guides that I found.
3. What resources were most helpful to you when you first got started with Weebly?
These, are the most helpful platform that I used:
Weebly Forums - I know that this Weebly community doesn't exist anymore, but I actually learned a lot of things about weebly in that community.
Webnots - Webnots, is another great source, in where you could learn more tricks and tips about weebly.
Google's Inspect Element Feature / View Source - Google's inspect element feature, actually helped me understand, what makes a weebly feature run and works.
Weebly Help desk - Well explained articles.
4. What advice would you give to a new Weebly user?
Well my advice for new Weebly users, is that if you have a question about Weebly, don't be shy and feel free to discuss or share it in the Weebly Community. Another piece of advice that I would give to new Weebly users is that you should never stop reading and learning no matter how young or old you are. If you have to do something and if you can do it now, well just do it now.
5. What is the best part of using Weebly? What is one improvement that you would like to see in the future?
Well everything, the Weebly Community and the drag and drop interface of its content mangement system, and also the full access to the HTML and CSS of it.
Anyways, if there is one improvement that I would like to see in the future, that would be improvement in the support team. Well, as you can see, I've submitted a ticket a few days ago, during that time I was unable to receive any response from the support team, until I requested a follow up and that's how I got a response, and also due to the delay, I also decided to contact moderator @Brodie in the Weebly Community, who was able to provide me support.
...And there you have it, folks! Don't you love how the Weebly Community is bringing such a diverse group of people together? We all have so much to learn from each other!
Until next time...
Thanks, and enjoy your weekend!

Impressive achievements in web designing and mastering web designing platforms by Francis Revilla . Good insights shared. All the very best for new and constant learning and achievements.
Very inspiring that we have certain senior members as well as young Weebly community members who have mastered the art of web design.
These examples are indeed inspiration for all of us and confirm the fact that there is no limit for learning new.
Henry Ford’s two quotes are apt at this moment
1. “ Anyone who stops learning is old, whether twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.”
2. ”Whether you you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.”
All the very best to all constant learners!
