Problems with uploading a PDF file as link on my website

I have an issue uploading pdf files as a link for a product brochure.

The system cannot upload the new pdf file, I have tried different browsers with the same result. Yesterday a message came up whilst saving a product entry that the domain may not be compatible

all has been fine until recently... any ideas ?

Your domain looks to be pointed to us properly, so I'm not sure why you'd get that message unless there was a temporarily problem getting DNS records from it. When you publish a site with a custom domain, we check to see if it's pointed properly to us and display a message if it isn't - if there was a temporary network hiccup it could display that message.

What happens when you try to upload your pdf? Does it give an error?

Hi Adam.

thanks for getting back to me.

the domain message was only twice.. on saving an edit, hasnt happened again.

Re uploads...

The progress bar moves across the page and the UPLOADING... is displayed, the save button is faded. So have to cancel out of the product.

this has happened out of the blue, and on all browsers....  i tried incognito as well.

i am able to upload the same files using the scribd doc tab ? direct to the page.

while i have you.... do you have any knowledge of bullet point lines of text moving down the page randomly.... on a product edit, so when the page is viewed a space has been added generally are a heading... FEATURES:

Thanks.

Hmm... do you have a firewall/security type of software on your computer? I wonder if something like that is causing an issue.

I'm not sure what you mean regarding bullet points - can you get a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Do you still see that error, @Andrew_266? It looks like your site is published properly.

Okay let us know. Also it will be helpful if you post a link to the page with the link and reference the link name so we can check in your editor. Thanks!

Hi Andrew. I sent you a work-around (there's a known issue with file uploads to product description) and I believe you said you would try it out. Ticket number 6321519

Hi @annasus I think it might still be broken, but there's a work around. If you upload the pdf to a page on your site (it can be a hidden page) you will be able to link the pdf to your product description from the drop down menu option. If you upload the pdf to your site I can show you what to do next. Smiley Happy
