Hi. Google Webmaster Tools advised me that one of my Weebly website pages had the following errors when viewing on a mobile - 'Viewport not set' and 'Content wider than screen'.
I ran the 'Check live version' tool which advised me the page was mobile friendly & the page looked fine on a mobile, so I submitted it to Google and it is now fixed.
The problem is that 3 other pages now have the same problem, which the 'Check live version' tool also advises are problem free. As my website has approximately 800 odd pages I have a horrible feeling that these false positives are going to continue for all my website's pages (which I'll have to keep submitting to Google), and all the time I'll be dropping down Google rankings due to my website being declared not mobile friendly when there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
The current pages with the non existent problem are as follows (Google's 'Check live version' states they are mobile friendly & there's nothing wrong with them so I have submitted them to Google also):
Any help as to how to prevent this problem, or if Weebly is aware of the problem & is doing something about it, would be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks,
John.

You're probably seeing that because you're using an older, customized theme. If you switch to a new theme and re-publish those errors should go away.

Thanks for the tip Adam, I'll wait a day or two to see if someone on the Google forum has any tips first and then give it a go.
The strange thing is that Google says it's ok for use with mobile and it works on a mobile ok, so I don't see why it finds problems when crawling it.

Hi Adam,
I tried your solution and after a few more incidents of the same problem it seems to be fixed. It took a while due to the time lag between the errors appearing & Google recrawling the website.
Strange the error only seemed to apply to pages with file downloads, all other pages were unaffected.
Many thanks.
